Awana Bugyal, Harsil Valley

It is the constant endeavor of Experience The Himalayas to discover new trails and trekking destinations. There’s a beautiful meadow that we could see from miles below from the village of Purali near Harsil. We thought it would be a beautiful camping destinations for our guests. A little prodding with the elders of the village and we came to know that they even had a name for this alpine meadow, Awana Bugyal. What we discovered, filled our hearts with awe. The trail passes through beautiful forests with streams emerging here and there. The meadow stands at an altitude of 3483 m and one can go higher up to an altitude of 4400m.

The trek starts from the village Jhala which is just 5km away from Harsil . Our GPS told us that the meadow is about 14km from Jhala. The meadow offers stunning views and you would feel as though you were on top of the world.
