The Bhagirathi group of 3 peaks are located in the Gangotri Valley of Garhwal Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand, India. The peaks rise right above the Gangotri glacier and the river Bhagirathi(which is later known as the Ganga) that flows underneath and emerges out of Gaumukh (the source of the Ganga). The region abounds in spiritual energy and also offers the right mix of challenges and adventure to both trekkers and mountaineers. Negotiating the Gangotri glacier is no mean task as it is full of crevasses and the glacier changes its nature very frequently. All 3 peaks have the same Base Camp.

Overview
The following is an itinerary for Mt Bhagirathi 2 expedition. The itinerary can be customized to start from Delhi/Rishikesh/ Dehradun at an additional cost. Kindly reach out to us for any customization.

Day 1 :
Arrive at Uttarkashi
We'll arrive at Uttarkashi in the afternoon.
We'll stay the night at a hotel / Tourist guest house.
Day 2 :
UTTARKASHI TO GANGOTRI(4 to 5hr):

Today, we'll drive to Gangotri after breakfast . We'll stop for lunch enroute at Gangnani and you could even take a splash under a refreshing hot spring. We'll arrive at Gangotri in the afternoon and we'll help you check in to your hotel / Tourist guest house. In the evening you will witness the Ganga Arati at Gangotri and the worship of the goddess in the temple.
Day 3 :

Today we'll explore Gangotri. We will visit the Surya Kund where you will find interesting rock formations eroded due to the strong current of the Bhagirathi. We will also visit the Pandava Gufa which is believed to have been the resting place of the Pandavas of the Mahabharata. In the evening you can stroll in the market area or simply sit by the banks of the Bhagirathi.
Day 4 :
GANGOTRI to BHOJBASA (14km):
We start our day early today and first perform a puja (worship) at the temple for the success of our expedition and safety of team members.
With the blessings of the deity and the presiding priest, we start on our trek to Bhojbasa. At Bhojbabsa, we are greeted by the Bhagirathi group of peaks.
Day 5 :
Bhojabasa to Nandanvan
Trek 11km from Bhojabasa to Nandanvan after breakfast and set up Base Camp here. We will have an acclimatization day at Nandanvan during which we will also discuss the preparations for the upcoming days.

Load ferry from Base Camp to Advance Base Camp

Load ferry Camp 1 to Summit Camp

Set up camp at Summit Camp.
Set up camp at Summit Camp. We will also move ahead for about 300-400m to fix ropes for the next day. Summit will be attempted the next day.
Day 14 :
Summit Attempt and back to Camp I.
Today is our Summit day to mt.Bhagirathi 2 starts as early as 3 am reaching the summit and make your way to camp 1 overnight in camp 1
Day 15 :
Camp 1 to Nandanvan/Base camp
Today we make our way down from camp1 to Nandanvan base camp
